When I was growing up I always thought I wasn’t dealt a good hand in life. I had family
issues that would top any reality tv show to date. I often felt like there was no one I
could really open up to and share my inner thoughts and feelings with. I was wearing
“masks” before the pandemic...always smiling when deep down I wanted to cry.
I tried therapy a couple times and it just didn’t work for me. I felt like I wasn’t understood, and that I was being judged.
I decided to give it another shot and found my match, a therapist that
looked like me, that could relate to me and my struggle. It felt genuine and not forced.
That’s what made me want to get into this field.
Now with just about 8 years of professional experience in the field of social work,
I live out my purpose every day as a guide to help people unlock those tools of empowerment that they already possess.
Whatever the issue (whether it be coming to terms with past traumas, getting over a bad
break-up, lack of self-esteem, parenting/abandonment issues, needing assistance
getting through everyday life, or a host of other problems), my eclectic approach to
therapy will allow you to embark on a journey of self-reflection, self- love, and self-care.
I look forward to helping you make sure you get closer to your winning hand in life.
